Kuala Lumpur: An Overview
It would be ridiculous to try and write every time I’ve been to Kuala Lumpur. So I will add everything I can think of that I love about my city. I think this might be the most updated blog post. I love Malaysia. The food, the culture, the city itself. Everything about KL is perfect to me, even though I find myself stuck in the same 5 places every time, I never feel stuck.
Landing in the airport and taking the same path back to the exit every single time
Seeing my cousin and hugging her every year
Getting to give my aunt big hugs
The delicious post-flight meal that Amma always cooks
Blasting the air conditioning as soon as I get in my room
Going to the hair salon across the street from Veranda
Getting to play with my cousin all day (when she doesn’t have school)
Having my own room there. Sometimes. When my brother isn’t there, at least
Plaza Batai and Fukuya
Going to KLCC, usually near the end of the trip
Staying up really late to watch movies
Walking around our neighborhood
Hanging out with the entire family
Going to Gitamami’s apartment
Going to Daorae with Gitamami
Going for long drives and “rounding” with everyone
Sticking our head out of the window
Going to FamilyMart and getting ice cream and Korean corndogs
Going to different bakeries with Gaya
Cooking at home
